DiskTraveller
A downloadable tool for Windows and Linux
Onno (who you may know as https://tinkerspider.itch.io/) has given this program to me and suggested I use it for Gaza fundraising. I've set the price with that in mind, and will be regularly updating the devlog with the details of the support campaigns the funding will go to. Since the price is fundraisingly high, Onno has also zipped up the source code and that's available for download as well.
Let's find out if we can do this!
Here is a video of the tool in action that Onno made for me:
WELCOME TO DISKTRAVELLER!
A project that started out as a sort of joke, but quickly turned into something functional:
A 3D first person file explorer :)
It will actually open files with your default apps when you activate them, and it
includes a shotgun for deleting files for realsies
Be a bit careful with the shotgun, the ones you blast will be GONE gone

Fresh uploads where file globes stay rotated with their text towards the user for quality-of-life
Is there any way to browse other drives than C
Ahh, you on Windows?
In that case you'll have to fly up all the way to 'My Computer and find the other drives there
n Linux it is /mnt/<drive>
Hmmmm - that gives me the idea to add a drive selection button
I'll let that churn i the background of my brain a bit and post when i've uploaded a new version :)
Fresh updates (sorry it took so long, life got in the way)
Moving upwards from your home map works now - turned out it was
an issue with how GODOT parses special characters
Still ruminating on a 'switch drives' button
Danke
I know it's not a game, but this looks really fun!
Thanx :)
I use it myself to clean up old files, it's a bit cathartic to see em explode :P
